Seaming question

So I've finished the shoulder and side seams, and they went well, but it looks like the two techniques I used on them won't look very good when sewing in the sleeves. Does anyone have a recommendation of how I should sew them in? This is definitely a weak point of mine (it's why I rarely make sweaters).

use the mattress stitch. You can find how to do it in the stitch and bitch book or you could probably google it. It is a great stitch you can do from the outside of the garment and make it look like the piece is continually knitted without much of a seamline on the outside.

Thanks for the suggestion! I had no idea you could do mattress stitch (if I'm thinking of the right one) from the outside. I'll give it a try when I finish the skirt! :)
